Chatty Boxx was setup as a free social group for my son to meet other similar children using AAC devices and take part in fun activities lead by our qualified Speech & Language Therapist Emily & Alfies carer & friend Grace. It soon became apparent that so many children with disability within the community are not receiving the level of speech & language input they so desperately need.
Sadly my son Alfie Benee passed away on March 18th 2024 and as a family we decided to continue Chatty Boxx to honour his name. We are now a registered CIC and provide ongoing support for children like my son within the community.
Through regular free social events, private one to one sessions and integration with schools, physios & OT's we are looking to recreate an environment that enabled Alfie to progress so quickly.

EXPERIENCE
We are currently a small team consisting of myself (Adam) & my wife (Sophie) who have 8 years experience & exposure raising a child with quad CP & epilepsy. A SALT (Emily) who whilst only qualified for 3 years has vast experience working with complex children due to her background working in care. Lastly but by no means least is Grace who I view as the Mary Poppins of carers and was my sons best friend. Collectively with others in Alfies world we created an environment where his communication was built into activities throughout the day providing him with the consistency to progress.
